The Advisory Board of the Initiative QI-Digital

The initiative is supported in its strategic orientation, concrete implementation and networking with stakeholders by its advisory board, which was  founded on 10 October 2022.

In addition to experts from companies and associations, the committee also includes representatives from research institutions and authorities as well as QI stakeholders. Dr Matthias Fankhänel, former Senior Vice President of the Center of Technical Expertise at BASF SE, was elected Chairman. Markus Reigl, Director Technical Regulation & Standardisation at Siemens AG, and Heribert Schorn, Managing Director of the Institute for International Product Safety GmbH (I²PS), support him as Deputy Chairmen.

The advisory board has the task of advising the QI-Digital initiative, setting impulses and supporting it in achieving its goals. The focus is on raising awareness of the importance and significance of QI and its digital transformation for Germany as a business location. One focus of the advisory board's work will be to ensure the market connection of the activities of the QI-Digital initiative. In this regard, the advisory board is particularly concerned with carrying impulses and needs from practice into the initiative. In this way, fields of action can be identified and application-specific, needs-oriented solutions can be developed.

Principles paper on good regulation

A suitable legal framework is required for the introduction and use of digital tools in the quality infrastructure. With its paper "10 principles for good regulation", the advisory board of the QI-Digital initiative invites you to enter into a dialogue on legislative and regulatory practice.
The paper "10 Principles for Good Regulation", which emerged from the Regulation working group of the Advisory Board of the QI-Digital Initiative, provides recommendations for a suitable legal framework and the underlying regulation of QI institutions that support the digital tools of QI. Legislators and regulators must enable the introduction and use of digital QI tools and procedures. To this end, the 10 principles from our principles paper should be taken into account in legislative and regulatory practice.
The paper is aimed at national and European legislators, regulators and other stakeholders from politics, administration, business and society. It also expressly serves as a basis for further practice-oriented development and as an invitation to a corresponding dialogue between the stakeholders.
It is an invitation to dialogue. We would be happy to develop it further with you. We look forward to your suggestions and questions: info(at)qi-digital.de
